First of all. It's generally medically unheard of for it to be either an abortion or the mother dies. In rare situations that it's all or nothing, it's generally in the last trimester (with something like eclampsia) where the baby has a viable chance at life and wouldn't be aborted anyway, just born prematurely.
And keeping abortion legal by saying that people will still do it is like saying we should let rape and murder be legal because people do those anyway, it's no different.

If having a baby would mean that we both would die, I would be forced to abort. This is the only time that I can think I would say that. I would not be a teenager who was irresponsible and had an " opps" moment, I would be a wife, mother and well educated, responsible woman who made the right choice for her family. Medical abortion is completely different than " birth control " abortion and I am completely sickened that we live in a society where this type of behaviour takes place. We can try to ban abortions of this nature but wouldn't it be much better to educate our children ?

Well my opinion on abortion,
If its something like an eptomic pregnancy it should be done.
While If I was raped and got pregnant I would probably have the child and either raise it or put it up for adoption, I can understand(as I was raped) how emtionally tramatic it is and how someone may not be able to mentally handle carrying a child for 9 monthes however, if you are raped you should get the morning after pill at least, and then you wont be killing an innocent child (just my opinion) .
I think that if its going to put the mothers life in jeperody they should not have the baby as that child would have come into the world alone then.

That would depend on the %, if it was a low risk, like 10-20%, I would probablycontinue in the pregancy, but if it was a high risk 80-100% chance I would die, then yes I would have to consider aborting my baby. I have 2 young children, that really need their mother, and I dont know that I could deprive them of a mother, to save my unborn child.
Thank god I have never had to face that situatuion!
or any other in which I might have to concider an abortion! unless you have been there I don't think anyone could predict how they would truly act and feel!

I completely agree, it is awful that these selfish a** women can just throw their babies away legally. Now, I personally don't care if these women get back alley ones and end up hurting themselves, It's KARMA biting them in the a**. We get what we deserve.
Keep feeling the way you do and speaking out for the babies, they need someone to speak for them.
It's a total shame that some people feel they have to report you, you probably hit a nerve.
Good for you.

i almost did, but i had him anyways. i dont think thats selfish at all. ive lived a good life(even if it was only 18 years long). and obviously, im alive. you never know if it will kill you. there are many women who are told their child will be brain dead or will kill the mom, but when they have them everything is fine. why risk a new life?

no greater love has a man (woman) than to lay down his life for another... isn't this the definition of a mother. If I am ment to die having my baby, then that is my time.

I agree with that! (it sounds horrible but-) It's better to kill one person than two!
But if you got rape it might be a good idea to abort because if the child's life will be pretty bad, especially being called Raped Kid or living in an orphanage.

I'm pro-life as well, but this really isn't the forum for questions about this sort of thing.
