That would be when I was asked to be on the interview committee to select the new principal for our school. A vice-principal from another school happened to be applying for the job, but has no personality and is kind of cold and unfriendly.
After the first round of interviews he did better than I expected, but many of us did NOT want him as our principal. So once we got outside I leaned over to my girlfriend (who was in there with me) and said "We gotta back each other up here. Whatever you DO .... do NOT pick John"
Ah ... he was right behind me and heard the whole thing. =O
Yea ... that wasn't just "oops!" That was "OPEN MOUTH INSERT FOOT OOPS" !!!!!!!!
Can you say ... crawl under a rock and hide?? Nice.

Forgot to complete schedules for my employees at work... office opens for tax season on Wednesday, and I got the calls made yesterday... OOPS

When I accidently gave a thumbs down to the only person who was in agreement with me in the politics section... that was a "Yikes!"
The actual "oops" came when I forgot to select a best answer and it went to a vote...

2 min. ago I looked at the bag of cotton candy and it was empty- I said oops- quickly followed by words that would surely get me a violation!

This is kinda stupid but I dropped a bottle of soap into a lot of water. the last time reasonable to say it: I forgot to put the wrist strap on my wrist for the wii remote and i trough it on the floor.... oops.......

It was an ex of mine. She had just said the stupidest thing, something to do with 'mouth', 'come' and 'do not', as far as I can recall.
Her response when I actually said 'Oops!' was quite over the top, I thought. ;-)

i say "OOPS" 97 times a day cause i am so so so stinking accident prone that everytime i move there is a oops along with it
