Do you seriously believe the plan she would propose would be word for word exactly the same as the other one? Do you think that people learn something in 12 years? Is it possible too that one of the reasons her healthcare suggestion didn't pass before was that the neocon controlled Congress would have nothing to do with it? They wouldn't even listen to what was in it. They automatically made incorrect assumptions about it. In case you have forgotten as most Cons seem to have done for obvious reasons these days, Congress not the President make the laws. If she proposes a plan I'll bet that even with a Congress controlled by the Democrats it will be greatly modified by the time it gets back to her for signature. That is how it works. But than again those who favor a dictatorship don't understand that do they?

Of all the things that prove her communist leanings, that "Universal Health Care Plan" that she came up with says it all. That is why you will have such a hard time finding anything about it or why anything she was involved with as First Lady is being withheld. Not to worry, though. I remember a few key ingredients.
1) Doctors would not be allowed to select what specialty they want to pursue. The government will dictate what specialty they will practice according to what the government decides the collective needs.
2)Doctors who accept any form of payment other than what the government provides will be put in prison.
3)Patients who attempt to pay for any medical procedure outside of what the government plan provides will be put in prison.
4)Everyone has a lifetime cap of total benefits. Once that cap is reached you cannot receive any more health care even if you are willing to pay for it yourself (see #3)
These are just a few of the lovely treats in store for all you lucky people who receive universal health care ala Hillary.
I remember the Conservatives having quite a good time counting how many times the term "prison" was used in the bill as well as speculating what happens when some poor sap reaches the lifetime cap. I suppose they just wheel him out of the hospital and dump him on the sidewalk.
It was a true lesson in socialism. Hillary may be called many things but one name that is absolutely accurate is "Marxist".
Happy New Year!

As noted, it was not due to the President (which she was not at the time) which is why the attempt to improve America failed. Also, it was not her fault that your elected representatives are proud that people live shorter lives on average than they do in western Europe where people have 'socialised' healthcare.
I live in the UK and work in the NHS (our universal health care system). It has problems, but not as many as the US healthcare system has. Despite spending much more per head of population than other developed countries, the US has worse health outcomes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care#Economics Life expectancy and infant mortality figures in the US are worse than in other developed countries, despite more money being spent (and wasted) in the USA.
In the UK there are waiting lists for routine problems. Problems that can not wait are treated as emergencies. Also, in the UK, people can also have private health care.
I can understand Americans being proud of living in the richest and most powerful country in the world. What I can not understand is why Amercians settle for a more expensive healthcare system where babies die that would have a better chance of life if born in another developed country.

Senator Clinton's first four years will be spent addressing the Bush Administrations short falls and failures. The Republicans will make health-care a huge mid term issue in hopes of bumping her out. Perhaps they will have a viable candidate by then.
Hillary--backed by overwhelming support will turn up the heat and the Republicans will loose more seats. "Universal Health-care" will be a reality.

Yes........Anyone who says that Hillary now has a Universal Healthcare plain that will NOT FAIL MISERABLY just as it did in the '90's is either the Biggest Fool or Liar on the Planet.---Hillary has NOT written, drafted, sponsored, proposed , endorsed or voted on ANY LEGISLATION that has ever benefitted New York. If Hillary becomes President; she will do for the US what she has done for New York,,,,ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. - The most pathetic part is the number of gullible voters who still believe all of her lies.

This question may be permitted to be answered little indirectly.
While countries in the rest of the world ( Europe, Asia, South America ) have reposed their faith in the Equality of Women and freely elected, by popular vote , women as their Heads of State, it is the World's greatest Democracy (USA) which is highly critical and apprehensive of the capabilities of women to lead. They fear a woman can't lead and face Islamic countries who have no respect for their women. This happens while the American President remains in the natural fortress of America( flanked by two mighty oceans) which is more than 10,000 miles away from the war zones while the women leaders like Benazir, Indira Gandhi, even Margaret Thatcher( Britain), Golda Meier ( Israel) remain in the midst of the turmoil and troubled zones. Incidentally Benazir Bhutto was elected in 1988 as the first Muslim woman of an Islamic country( Pakistan ).
It is taking America whole of the past full 12 months to vacillate whether or not their woman can be a president. Excuses are in plenty.
Now to answering the Question at hand:
Hillary Clinton is looked with suspicion as she did some thing different and very much un - American like in forgiving her husband, Bill Clinton for his affair with the Lewinsky girl. Though in the Oriental countries this is considered as a great virtue of a woman to keep her family integrity in tact, in the permissive societies of the Western world , probably it can't be tolerated and may be considered abnormal. So she has to be punished. Then how can her Health care plan be instantly agreed ? It is to be condemned and not allowed to rise its head. Even she should not be allowed to succeed in her any positive attempt. She has to be snubbed if not outrightly rejected.

I remember. But wait, this time it should work because she's going to be putting $110 BILLION of taxpayers' money towards it!!!!
I mean, a program that costs more than what the most powerful nation in the world spends on Homeland Security, has got to work, right? Insert sarcasm here.

just to refresh the small brains of beardo 73 and eyespy the reason it failed was because the medical community will never let antone try to regulate them. if you are to young to have to pay for health insurance try and purchase some then please send me the HONEST results. you will find that it will cost you an arm and a leg.you will also find that it will be very restrictive as to what and how much it will cover. do any of you work a job where you make enough money to cover insurance by your self or do you work for a company who offers it? if they do i can bet you they make sure that you pay some portion of it. do you know anything about medicine? do you think that drug companies a doing a "good deed" when they send medicine to under developed countries? wrong, the medication is outdated and does not even work, but guess what those same drug companies get a big fat tax write off for it and lots of publicity for ti. i worked as a volenteer in a country in africa and they sent a bunch of baby formula telling the women that it would keep their babies from dying, guess what? it had to be mixed with water and in that country they had no way to get clean water to mix it so the babies just kept on dying even though the medical companies knew this. so don't blame some body for trying to do something when people like both of you don't know s__t.

She wasn't even in an elected office --LOL!
Try scraping that barrel again---there must be some better muck you can throw at Hillary to get your hate ration for the day.
This effort was pathetic.
Try harder next time.
PS: MORE bad news for you. Quite a number of Republicans AND corporations are interested in Universal Health Care this time around---to relieve the burden off business.
You will find that Hillary has some very strange bedfellows this round.

She only failed because the Republicans in Congress would not accept the Health Care Plan. That was not her fault. She did not fail. Congress did! Yes, I actually do remember. I remember it very well. The good ole boy Republican club fought her every step of the way.
