Life is just a sick joke if you really think about it. No matter what anyone does we all end up in the same place.

I guess in the end that is what life is, a test on a long journey. The right thing to do is live to make others happy, and put yourself second. I just wish there was some confirmation that death wasnt truly the end, you know?

I think there's a grading system. I also think that heaven and hell is made right here. We're given opportunities to make a difference in the life of someone else. It's about paying it forward. Death on this earth plane is just a time when we move on to another. We never actually die. Dyer says we're not human beings having a spiritual experience, we're spiritual beings having a human experience. This right now is just part of a journey.
When my Dad died I didn't say goodbye, I actually said "goodbye for now."
We are all connected in ways we don't know. You're not the only one in the continuum. We've reached for outer space since the 60's so that some day we'll live on in more worlds. That is an example of people paving the way, because....it's not all about us. You can either enjoy your life and help others to enjoy theirs too or be a speed bump in your own road and theirs. There's no neutrality. We're either contributing or taking away.

I know what you think but is it really? See this is where morals come to play. Some people believe they have to have and preform to a certain level in life, in order to be rewarded in the after life. This is why society is somewhat stable as opposed to chaotic and savage. Nothing came from nowhere, and the question of god is all a matter of belief. God may not be how we portray him, but the universe didn't just exist from no where. Maybe there is a life after this and maybe there isn't. Weird question to be honest, I've thought about it a lot and it's complicated and confusing.
Doesn't this make you feel like the most worthless thing ever?
Ha I definitely think it does.

The purpose of life is the spreading of kind acts and joy and goodness to others. Meaning is found in what we can do, not in what we can get for ourselves. Try it. Volunteer and help someone else. Even if they do not thank you, at least you have served a purpose.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell
If we reject God, then the reality is that there cannot be any purpose for life. But it is almost impossible to honestly face that reality. Those who reject God invent nice sounding things to do, e.g.. be kind, help other people, live life to the fullest, etc, and then convince themselves that their invention is their real purpose. It is an exercise in self deception designed to keep them from suicide.
Brutally honest atheism leads to nihilism and brually honest nihilism leads to suicide.
Our Creator is the only possible source of purpose. Christians believe that our purpose is to seek God, to allow Him to reveal Himself to us, to experience God and to find our joy in Him.

That's why you accomplish as much as you can and fulfill your definition of success, and enjoy life as much as you can, its all what you make of it.
