1. sqrt(m^6) = (m^6)^0.5 = m^(6*0.5) = m^3
2. 3*sqrt(5b^9) = 3*sqrt(5b)*sqrt(b^8) = (3b^4)*sqrt(5b)

Note that in the second problem, I got sqrt(b^8) = b^4 through the method I showed more fully in my answer for the first problem.
