The way to get rid of malware is better answered by telling you how to not get infected with malware in the first place...

Purchase and install a proper security suite on your computer (antivirus, firewall, antispyware, etc) from a RELIABLE vendor (like mcafee, ms onecare, norton, etc) and ensure it is properly configured and kept completely up to date... coupled with safe browsing habits, common sense, basic computer maintenance, and the basic knowledge of how to operate the security suite (such as knowing how to properly respond to an alert).

A trojan is a program that you meant to install, thought it did something good, and contains a malicious program or payload. So unfortunately, you somehow chose to install this thing.

The comre.dll is not "part of the computer". At least, it is no more part of the computer than any other non-operating system file such as a word document.

As for removing malware... usually the installation of a proper security suite as mentioned above will take care of removing the malware... however, there are many type of malware that require manual removal steps and without knowing what specific infection(s) you have it is impossible to provide you with manual directions... except to say that if you are not comfortable with any of these steps you should seek a reliable and qualified technician's assistance now before you take the wrong advice and really lose everything.

Good Luck

That infection may not be detected by your antivirus because I believe its a spyware infection.

Remove it with AntiSpywareBot. Its good stuff, trust me.

My computer was really slow and had tons of issues. I got antispywarebot and regclean. Now its a lot faster. Free programs really don't work to well. AntiSpywareBot offers a free scan but you need to pay $20 to remove all of the issues. Its worth every penny in my opinion.

Go to your tray, open start, open search and type in: comre.dll and let your PC search your entire system for the dll. Once the dll is found delete from top to bottom all related files for this dll. (For sure it is a trojan, as there is no such dll with that name that belongs in your system.).

If the dll will not delete, says being used by another file, reboot and go back and try again. If it say that the dll is, write protected, ctc me and I will direct you to free software that will delete the dll. (Have you run our antivirus scanner??).

You have Virtumonde malware.

SAS will remove it.
Download and Install Super Antispyware free. Reboot into Safe mode and Run SAS. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

get the aniti virus and anti spyware tools from this article i wrote:

Ok, you are going to want numerous anti-spyware programs, one anti-virus, and one firewall. All of the following programs are free.

You can find a good, free reliable anti-virus program from AVG:
AVG anti-virus:http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff

You can find good anti-spyware programs from:
AVG anti-spyware:http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/...
Spybot S&D:http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...
Ad Aware:http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

You will want more than one anti-spyware program. You do NOT want more than one anti-virus program because they will conflict with each-other.

Now, lets get you a firewall.

Choose ONE of these programs to use.

Outpost firewall: http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpostf...
Jetico firewall: http://www.jetico.com/index.htm#/jpfirew...
Zone Alarm: http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/c...

After you have installed one anti-virus program, numerous anti-spyware programs, and one firewall, you should be protected.

Did I mention that all of these programs I just listed are FREE?

If you suspect that you have spyware/viruses on your computer you should restart your computer and press f8, then boot up in safe mode with networking and run your anti-virus program and delete all of the viruses. Then run each one of your anti-spyware programs and delete all of the spyware. Then restart and boot up in your normal mode. Use a program called Ccleaner to clean out your registry: http://www.ccleaner.com/

After you get all of the bad stuff off your system your firewall should protect you, however you should still take precautions and not download anything from sites you don’t trust. Use this tool called site adviser to show you whether a site is trustworthy or not: http://www.siteadvisor.com/ .

That’s all!
