Whatever happened to Ozzy, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Van Halen, Black Sabbath ect? Dont get me wrong, I like a lot of newer music too but it seems like kids these days dont appritiate the music that gave way to the new stuff. The inspiration so to speak. I like music from those era's all the way up till now. Is it just me?

I just want to add that I am only 21. Though I didnt grow up in the time frame of some of this music I still live it. How can people like the music today without appritiating where it came from?

I am fourteen. When I was younger, my dad made the mistake of listening to classic rock when I was around. I'm glad he made that mistake. At first I liked it, then I loved it, then I was obsessed with it, now it has basically taken over my life and changed me.

My favorite bands are:
DEF LEPPARD
MAN RAZE
LED ZEPPELIN
WHITESNAKE
BAD COMPANY
TWISTED SISTER
GUNS N’ ROSES
DIO
PINK FLOYD
THE WHO
NAUGHTY NAUGHTY
FOREIGNER
BON JOVI
STYX
VAN HALEN
SAMMY HAGAR
IRON MAIDEN
TED NUGENT
SCORPIONS
METALLICA
MOTLEY CRUE
AEROSMITH
JOURNEY
ALICE COOPER
DAVID ESSEX
ZZ TOP
JUDAS PRIEST
POISON
BLACK SABBATH
JIMI HENDRIX
THE DOORS
TOM PETTY
QUIET RIOT
CINDERELLA
WARRANT
RATT
WHITE LION
QUEEN
DAVID BOWIE
BILLY IDOL
TESLA
RUSH
AC/DC (Bon Scott era)
SLAUGHTER
SEX PISTOLS

Not everyone listens to that brainwashing crap that they call music today. There is no heart, soul or feeling in it. To me, music is a way of expressing yourself, but bands of today just want "Fame and Fortune."

It depends on how you define Classic Rock.

My Top Twelve (in no particular order)

Van Halen
Rush
The Cars
The Police
AC/DC
ZZ Top
Ted Nugent
The Ramones
The Cure
The B 52's
The Psychedelic Furs
A Flock of Seagulls

A pretty diversified list if I say so myself. You may be able to tell that I am in my 40's with this list, but my oldest son would rather listen to these artists than some of the music being produced today.

I bridge off into all different directions when it comes to music. I enjoy many modern bands and artists, but I can also sit down and listen to rock from 30 years ago, so you're not the only one. I love listening to The Rolling Stones, Blondie, The Doors, The Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, The Cure, etc.

Don't worry, it's not just you! Proud fan of (mostly) classic rock, and the newer stuff I like tends to remind me of classic rock...or is a new album by a "classic" group (Endless Wire rocks!) It's kind of amusing, most dorm rooms that I've seen have at least one poster for a classic rock group, the most popular is the Beatles.
Great bands:
The Who
Queen
The Beatles
Led Zeppelin
The Kinks...the list goes on!

SPC: no not only you, its We're, we are generation who grew up on the Golden years of rock 60-80 :), i'm not saying todays rock bands are bad some of them are pretty good: OPETH, after forever, elis, and many more.

but classic rock we'll never dies.

the Beatles
black sabbath
queen
Led Zepellin

and many more

but hey kids like what they like. .

what thing i can't stand, it TRENDS in music, when bands makes music just for sake of populairty, and people follow it BLINDLY like SHEEPS.

if there will be they blindly follow it.
