Here is what you will need for a lan connection http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?cookie%5Ftest=1&product_id=802615
Here is a few things you will need too. You will need a ethernet cord http://support.morehouse.edu/whatis-network/patch-cord-ethernet-copper.jpg
and have your Wii close to your modem. Then what you do it plug your eatherner cord into the back of your modem. Then plug your Wii with the LAn Wii adapter. Next you plug the eathernet cord into the wii lan adapter.
Then you go to Wii setting> interent> click on connection> then should ask for wired wireless. Choose wired. That should iit.
If you need any more help just give me a holla

All the previous answers are good, but if you don't want to be switching cables around and fooling around with MAC addresses and such every time you want to use the computer and not the Wii, just get a router to go between your modem and your Wii. Something like this from Linksys will do just fine: http://tinyurl.com/385xen
