"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the ***** is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the ***** population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Margaret Sanger's December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts.

What a filthy racist. What had to do planned parenthood with deriding other cultures:

"It is said that a fish as large as a man has a brain no larger than the kernel of an almond. In all fish and reptiles where there is no great brain development, there is also no conscious sexual control. The lower down in the scale of human development we go the less sexual control we find. It is said that the aboriginal Australian, the lowest known species of the human family, just a step higher than the chimpanzee in brain development, has so little sexual control that police authority alone prevents him from obtaining sexual satisfaction on the streets."

She also said: ""The undeniably feeble-minded should, indeed, not only be discouraged but prevented from propagating their kind."

I think it's safe to assume that most people have come along way in their thinking about mentally challenged people and segregation issues since 1939. Was Margaret Sanger considered all that radial in her thinking back then? I seriously doubt it. If you look at the founders of any organization or company formed in the early 1900's you're not going to like all their associations. We humans have evolved since then, thankfully.

I don't agree with ANYTHING or ANYONE that is racist or sexist. I don't agree with the KKK and I don't agree with abortion. They are both wrong. All men where created equal in the image of GOD, whether they are black, white, red or yellow, 96 years old or a 1 second old zygote. I am no better then anyone and no one is better then me. I expect to be treated a fairly as the president of the united states ( even though it would never happen, it should)

This attitude was quite typical for people who lived during the same time she did. We need to stop applying current values to people who lived in another era because they are not valid. Millions of other people felt the same way she did. It doesn't mean she and others like her were right but they were the products of the era they lived in.

No, because I think that is racist and stereotypical. With all the crap that blacks went through, they had to hold on to some type of spirituality just to make it through!

Wow...her statements have a Hitler-like ring to them, don't they? Good thing the Planned Parenthood organization of today does NOT embrace those sentiments.

I hate racism in all its forms, but thankfully, those sentiments don't exist in the current Planned Parenthood.
