No, the only way is to re-laminate it or have it re-finished.:)

We did the same thing. I went to the hardware (or kitchen showroom) shop & bought a benchtop heatproof frosted glass infill & then installed it in the bench. We can now take pans off the stove & put them straight onto the heatproof section of the bench. An added advantage is when you open the cupboard underneath, light comes through the glass & we can see into cupboard. The infill sits flush with the laminate benchtop.

Try a furniture repair shop in your area. There's a franchise called "furniture medic" or something like that that may help you. They should be able to remove the current layer of laminate, and put on a new one. I don't know if they can match the color or pattern exactly, though, so be prepared for a slightly different color. If you want it to match the current kitchen, this is a good way to get it changed, though.
