Okay so my boobs have been sore for almost 3 weeks now and I have irregular cycles to make matters worst. I was put on Provera and got my "period" like a week ago but my soreness hasn't gone away. A friend suggested I take a pregnancy test because pregnancy is very possible so I did exactly that today! The first test I took was a First Response with the two lines..I didn't see anything at first but withing 2-3 minutes I saw a super duper extremely faint line where it's supposed to be! I thought my mind and eyes were fooling me so I asked my hubby to confirm and he too said there was a super duper extremely line there...not enough to satisfy me I did a clearblue digital and it said "Not Pregnant" :(....I'm so sad and confused now, is a line that faint still a good sign? It can't be an evap line cause it showed within 3 minutes right? Please help! Thanks!

I would go and get a blood test. Most of the time pregnancy test work because there is a certain hormone that you body does produce. I would make sure and see your gyno and have some relief. Pregnancy test are expensive, go and get it confirmed for real.

Many pregnancy tests show a line after waiting a long time. It is unfortunate and tricks many women. I read the First Response website and it said that you should read within 5 minutes and up to one hour, so it seems you were in your alloted time. Also, if you are very early in your pregnancy it is possible for the pregnancy test to not detect your pregnancy yet. You have two best bets. One go to the doctor to be sure or two wait two days and re-test. The pregnancy hormone doubles every two days. Read the directions very carefully on the test. Simply do not look at the pregnancy test after the alloted time. If you have had your period a week ago it is probable that you aren't pregnant. Unless your period was VERY light then that could be pregnancy spotting. Breast tenderness is very common for menstrual symptoms and may not be related to pregnancy. Also if you just went on a new birth control your body could be reacting to that.
Anyhow, wait two days and test again. And if you are pregnant, Congratulations!

Don't think so I think the hormones are giving you a fake positive result ,and the second test said that you are not pregnant, only a blood test will say for sure. If you can go to the doctor ,but wait a week to let your soreness subside. I wanted to be pregnant so bad with my kids that I was wrong many times, till finally several months, later I got pregnant, be patience you will have a baby soon. Very best of luck to you.

Id wait a week and take another one. The first time i took a test it was the two pack it was late and it was negative. Something still wasnt right so like a week later i took one more and there was a faint faint line. Literally a week after i took two more and they were both very positive! Im currently entering my 5th month. Id say wait and take another and if you see another faint line or more id go see a doctor~ Good luck!!

The digital tests are not as sensitive as the first response tests. They only detect the hormones at higher levels. Its highly unlikely that you got a false positive from the 'non digital' test. Wait a few days and see if that line gets darker. Keep using the first response tests.

My advice would be to wait a few more days, and take another test. Here are a couple of tips, it is always better to test, as soon as you wake up. Secondly, whatever the time on the test ( 2 minutes 3 three mintues... etc....)whatever shows up after that time, is invalid.
Again wait for a few days, then retest..... following the directions exactly. I hope you get the results that you are looking for.....good luck

ok well u got ur period which is a sign that ur not preg but also u can still be preg and have a period as well. so i can understand ur frustration on this matter... what i would suggest is for u to go to ur ob/gyn and get tested there. or u can see ur doctor and get a blood test done. the faint line does still count but its rare u get a false positive so i think theres a good chance that u are its more likely to get false negative result. so good luck and i wish u the best... =)

You need to read a test at the time it says, like 1 minute. If you let it sit, it will show up- but those aren't the results.

Just wait a week and take another test. And read it at the right time. If you're that worried, plenty of clinics offer free testing.

Even it it's faint it usually means you're pregnant, but how irregular are your cycles usually? If you can't wait a few more days, I would just do a test the first time you use the restroom in the morning when your urine is most concentrated. I know it's stressful.

I'd get a blood test from the doctor just to be sure. The tests are pretty good at giving accurate results, so if you have one maybe and one negative, I want to say you're not pregnant. But again.....I think a visit to the doc is in order.
