If you really want to be a friend, learn. This person must know you cant speak the same language. Maybe you both can learn from each other, and more. Sounds like you want to so I know you will do well.

How do you know they are a good friend if you haven't talked to them?
Try learning their language, and you teaching them yours.
Also, if they have AIM or something..that would be a great way to talk, since you can use a translator on the internet.

Well, you can communicate by doing charades. Or just try to tell what the other person is saying by the tone of their voice. You're gonna have to communicate.
