Yes.
Lao Tze said: "Know thyself." I agree. First you must know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses.
Robert Louis Stevenson said: "It is far better to travel hopefully than to arrive." I agree. It is in participating in life and being a responsible citizen that comes first not the quick fix of winning the lottery and getting what you want regardless of anyone else.
For the most part this has already been determined by your circumstances and parents. But nothing is fixed and with your dreams, ambition and determination you can become whoever you want to be. Make a plan. And stick to it.

I'm not going to answer with some long, philisophical statement. All I will say is life is what you make it, if you stress out seeing what other people have you only see what people have thats MORE than what you have, think about what poor street people, aids orphans and sickly dying people have, nothing, and you have stuff like food, clothes, heat, and friends, so I would say don't worry about people how have a better time or more fun than you, your not them, your you...damn that turned out kinda long lol

Life is the ability to breathe: but all of it!
love,patience,respect,forgiveness,happiness,sadness.
The list goes on of what we all go through and experience.
I would hope that life is like the school of learning.
We're taught and we learn and we all make mistakes and hopefully we learn from them.
Also everyone has to choose to believe one way or the other, for part of life is discovering who you are to God and others.
You also find yourself by being a friend to someone because you hear all the advice you are giving and sharing!
And in my life being a wife and mother has taught me so much about myself. I'm 46 and just feel I'm starting to see the
whole me. Because for quite sometime I wasn't whole.
There was apart of me that was missing? A very big part.
God! Being a daughter of God has brought many blessings to my life. And discovering who I really am in his thoughts!
Everyone does go through life differently I don't know about faster or slower or if it's just the timing of it all!
Being in a certain place in time at that moment in time!
Thinking about life and all it's splendor is interesting and thanks for your question for I love to answer genuine ones
where people really want to know.
Always trying to help!:)

I think you've made life out to be something more then it is. Life is just the process in surviving from day to day, but you might not realize that since you don't fear for your life everyday. The human race evolved, or said to have, once been a monkey which hunted and scavenged from day to day to survive. The process of this we've learned to use tools to our advantage then the tools evolved along with our ability to think. A journey through life isn't to know yourself but is to sadly just reproduce to carry on your traits. A wolf out in the wild doesn't journey through life to try to get to know its self, it only knows how to survive and reproduce which isn't as complicated as we'd like it but its what I believe to be true.

From what I can see, both from reading about NDEs, from watching small children blossoming into social beings, and from watching emotionally successful people interact, it seems less like it's about learning about yourself, and more about loving others.
Just being loving to others, and focusing on the positive, trying to achieve the positive, and believing in your own passion are the things I believe life is truly about.

i think of a journey is approximately our existence tale. How we start up from being a toddler to ultimately loss of existence. possibly this journey for some people would be delicate crusing on an identical time as for others there'll be bumps and ruts. some people stroll faraway from the form and is continuously lost in darkness and dispair. some take a journey longer than others on an identical time as some take the shorter journey. in spite of your journey possibly, in spite of occurs, occurs for a reason.

I believe it is a pilgrimage to God. The journey takes as long as God allows but never the less: it is a pilgrimage.
