Why do you believe all of the lies religion tells about Me.
I don't.
Religion has set its self up as the supreme earthly authority on two subjects that it knows absolutely nothing about, God and the afterlife. If we look at the various religions it is beyond obvious that they don’t agree about who God is. Nearly all of them claim to be the one and only correct path to God.
The one truth that remains constant is that the definition of God that they have come up with is little more than a mirror image of the particular set of biases and prejudices of the group the religion represent. Can this be just a coincidence?
With all of the various renderings of God by all of the different religions we can draw only a very few conclusions about God. Either God is a pathological liar who tries to be all things to all people or God is hopelessly schizophrenic. Personally I see too much beauty in the world to accept either of these conclusions.
To me it seems far more likely that religion is just a lie that people tell about God.
Lucky for us this lie we call religion does not effect the real God in any way.
Love and blessings Don

Depends on the "God" in question, but let's say it's the Judeo-Christian God, all-powerful, all-good, all-knowing.
Since God is all-knowing, s/he will never make requests for information. The question God would ask would be a rhetorical question, or requests asking us to do this or that. Only rhetorical questions, because God knows the answers to all factual questions. Only requests, because God in his/her abundant care of us has given us free will to do what we like, and the conscience to make right decisions only if we make proper use of our reason and sympathy.
E.g., rhetorical question: "What! Did you really think I was an old white guy with a beard?"
Requests: "So, you are gonna watch a movie with your loved one, eh? There are people starving in Africa, and homeless persons freezing in winter, you know. How about donating the 20$ to charity instead?"

"Why are all you heathens worshiping false gods with your made-up religions instead of worshiping me, Flying Spaghetti Monster, the one true god?"
Me: "Religion isn't about truth or reality, it's about belief. People choose the religions they want to believe in. Logic, evidence and rational thought play no part in deciding which god to believe in. People believe because they WANT to believe. And because no god has ever given a shred of real evidence for his/her/their existence, there is nothing to tell people they can't believe in any god they feel like."

Why are you homo sapiesns so stupid and empty?
Answer: You tell me. You created religion, race, and all those divisions.
God: Hmmmm....I didn't. I just wanted to provide hope for you homo sapiens. You took my words and made them into a political comedy!
