If you personally think it is somewhat true, then please elaborate on what you think is true about it, and please give an example.

The bible was created by the roman empire to change the message of Jesus to something that the Romans found more acceptable.
This is why it is often difficult to understand. The message of Jesus on the other hand is elegant and simple to understand. You need to separate the message that Jesus left for us from all of the nonsense that the Romans overlaid it with and it will start to become quite easy to understand.
Don't take my word for any of this. Study biblical history for your self and draw your own conclusions. There are many good books on this subject by some intelligent and thoughtful people. Take advantage of their efforts.
Email if you are interested and I will send some suggested reading material.
Love and blessings.

I believe it is true. The reason I believe it is true is because what else has lasted so long in human history?
I think all of the Bible is true. Every "religion" in the world shares the same basic stories in the Bible, for example, the flood. They may not agree on specifics such as the names of the characters, but the story is essentially the same. How can that be if not by some outside intervention? Put another way, how can people separated in every conceivable way still have the same folklore?

Well, the Bible is true if we consider that it is a book that exists - you can buy it anywhere - therefore,it's true. Now,about the facts, that is hard to know: none of the mentioned characters are alive so it's hard to say. Try to mix its texts with the archaeological discoveries and create your own theory - there will be people here who will tell you "yes,it's true" and others who will say "the Bible is bullshit". None of the answers will be much satisfying because they won't add much to your knowledge. Then you have to remember that some belief issues come in between: where do the facts end and where does belief begin? It's hard to say - and those who picture themselves as objective are, most likely, lying.

Every word in it. To elaborate would be endless. I read it twice non stop, and have been reading it ever since. There is not sentence there that hasn't been inspired by the Lord, regardless of the human hands He inspired to write it no error is found in it. It has bless my life and changed it, for sure.

Yes it's a matter of faith.
You either believe or you don't and if you expect God to come down in divine providence to prove His existence to you? Then you have another thing coming. For one thing ... just the whisper of a silent movement of God's presence would kill you! You would not be able to physically withstand the Holy presence of God. You wouldn't. It would separate every viable atom of your very being and send them to oblivion.
So one has to make a choice, it's called "free will" and it can save you or leave you destitute. Depending on what you decide because quite frankly God is not going to force you to your knees! You worship Him of your own volition on His terms; or you don't.
Make a decision.

It has been translated and re-translated and re-translated again and and again. The most accurate versions are the Hebrew and Greek. For English, the King James version is the best translation.

well, i believe that most of it has to be false.
If you think about it over THOUSANDS (not millions) of years these papers "survive" and then through the translations words could get mixed up. I think we all should believe whats best for us, but the bible thing could be questioned.
good luck
