More manly- A medium-large dog.
More romantic- horse
Take your pick just don't get a sissy dog if u want 2 be manly. On the other hand my cousins girlfriend fell for him and he had a toy poodle. Now they are married and have kids. Or you could get a Rotwiler and then she would be scared and then she would fall in love with you for protecting her.

depends on the dog breed. not too manly looking with say a poodle or some little yappy dog. a man on a horse may look more manly but also unapproachable being way up in the saddle. the man with the dog could look not only manly but also friendly and approachable for conversation (unless the dog is growling and snarling)

That is a very tricky question. I think that it really depends on the dog and what you are wearing when you ride the horse. For example, if I were trying to impress someone, I wouldn't walk around with a pink poodle, but I wouldn't be caught dead riding a horse with one of those horse helmets on. And, if the horse were a rodeo horse, than you better hold on tight or you'll really get embarrassed.

It depends on whether the guy is riding western and rounding up cattle or if he is riding english dressage. If the guy is riding steeplechase or rounding up cattle then it is manly. Dressage is just plain wimpy. A guy with a dog can be manly but it depends on the dog and if it is an ankle biter.

A man with a dog because the man with the horse could ride it away from danger, while the man with the dog is doing about 75% of the work, unless the dog is vicious!

Dog...and I agree with the person that said, not a poodle...that would be very wussy. None of them dogs that need grooming.

You don't need any props to "look" like a man...
You are a man or you are not a man.
Most people can spot fakes right away... and believe me, that's a very sad sight...
Just be yourself and I promise you'll get much better and awesome results...
