I am curious. Whenever people describe me, I have noticed that they use the word "attractive." What do they mean by that? For example a friend recently told me that I am "a very attractive woman" and another friend told my son that he has an "attractive mother." I guess I am wondering why the word "attractive" keeps being used. I have noticed it many times. There are so many words to describe a person's appearance, so I am just wondering why everyone uses the same word to describe me. Would you take this as good or bad?

attractive is a compliment; just from a more objective standpoint. Maybe your friends just feel uncomfortable calling you "pretty" or "hot". Most people feel weird using words like that unless they're actually attracted to them in that way, but you can think someone's attractive without being attracted to them. Like a straight woman can still find a woman attractive, even though she's not attracted to her like that. It is a compliment, though, so take it as a good thing.

with magnets, opposites attract each other (or pull each other) with people if someone says "your attractive" it is basically saying that you can attract the opposite sex very easily.
