Okay my teacher teaches something new everyday and uh it's not easy to remember everything so I'm asking for help on this please :]

Here are 2 questions, can someone please explain how I answer them?

The first equation is in slope intercept form y=mx+b
Lines with the same slope are parallel
y=4x+b choose any b other than 2 and it will be parallel to y4x+2

9x-5y=4
5y=9x-4
y=(9/5)x-(4/5)

again y=(9/5)x+b choose a new b other than -(4/5)

In the form y = mx + b, m is the slope of the line. Parallel lines have the same slope, so two parallel lines have the same m. For the second problem, all you have to do is put the equation in mx + b form by solving for y.

Question 1
m = 4

Question 2
5y = 9x - 4
y = (9/5) x - 4 / 5
m = 9/5

Parallel lines have the same slope, so leave the coefficient of the x term alone, and change the constant term

9x - 5(4x+2) = 4 , get x & y
