Either that or ask your bank to give you a temporary account number that the money could be sent to on a one time basis. Most bankers will accommodate you if there's an issue with wire transfer security.

She will need your bank address, account #, direct wire transfer is the safest way to send money. When you write a personal check to someone all this info is on the check anyway, this way there is less chance of the money being lost or the info intercepted.

Yes, you would. I would not do that unless this is someone you are related to by blood or marriage. Just tell them to send you a check and you can deposit it on your own. Dont give out that info.

Yes and you better be careful of whom and what your doing, giving that type of information can ruin you. Exapecially with all of these online scams going on, they'll say they need a payment officer or their from the UK and they need you to get the money and mail it to them. Just be careful.

Yes, SO DON'T DO IT, Unless the person is someone you know, like family that is giving you a gift. Otherwise you will probably be sorry you did.

talk to your banker
usually, yes.

given the number of scammers out there, do NOT give your account number to anyone other than your regular creditors [and only if you sign up for automatic payment of the bill] or your employer.
