People go crazy for Hannah Montana and its insane. Tickets for the show in 'Raleigh NC sold out in 8 Min's and they were over 1000 dollars it was all over the news and scams were involved. I would not allow my daughter to lie. What she did was wrong but hopefully it was a lesson learned. Dying is serious and what if it something bad happened after she wrote that essay. I think is was right for the tickets to be taken away. That only shows that some people value celebrity's more than their life or family nit saying she did but some do and they would do anything to see that person.

I would never do that to my daughter. I do however feel that the 7 year old should not be punished for her obviously sick mother. Someone should still take this kid to the concert. This Hannah Montana phenom is freaking weird anyway. I doubt this is the last ridiculous thing we will here someone doing for tickets.
I realize that this could teach the child to lie in th future, but she is only 7. She may have had no idea where her father actually was. Children that age probably have to believe something themselves to sell it.

No, I wouldn't allow my kid to lie about anything for whatever she thinks she wants. Second of all, Hannah Montana sucks. If I found out she lied about something like that, I'd give the tickets to someone more deserving. And she'd be in a butt-load of trouble.

Omg that is so terrible. I would never allow my kid to do such a thing. Its not worth cursing your family over and making a joke out of the war in Iraq. Because people do die over there and thats just so cruel. Miley Cyrus [hannah Montana] should at least take time to stop making money and lip synching and make a video to tell kids that its not ok to do stuff like that ever!

The woman is ignorant and disrespectful. Not only to the contest/Hannah Montana but to our soldiers and their families. How dare she falsify someone' s death for something as worthless as Hannah Montana tickets....

That's terrible. It's very bad to know that an adult would do such a childish thing, and a child would do such a babyish thing.
It's down right wrong, But it's good she had gotten her tickets taken away. That's nothing cool to lye about -not even for a pair of tickets!

I would never allow her to because it's just showing her that 'yes, you can lie to get what you want' and the daughter will continue to lie in the future and it'll be a bad habit! What kind of mother would allow her child to lie anyways?!?!

no, i wouldn't if i had one. i love hannah montana, but to lie about someone dying...never. i understand that she wanted them, but this is no way. they should have been rough with her and they should have told her not to lie, and they shouldn't have given the girl anythign.

No, she's be in so much trouble. Although I don't know how I'd punish my daughter. All she does is community work. I couldn't very well ground her from reading to the blind or working at the homeless shelter. It's a problem.
