I have just read the following in the Faifax news what do you guys think of his comments??-----------------------
INDIA'S interim coach, Lalchand Rajput, will read the riot act
to recalcitrant batsman Yuvraj Singh, whose attitude during the Boxing Day Test infuriated members of the Indian side.
Yuvraj's air of indifference - not to mention his failures with the bat - look likely to cost him his place in the Indian middle order, with Virender Sehwag or Dinesh Karthik set to be drafted in to open the innings, and the out-of-sorts Rahul Dravid to move into his more customary role down the order.
"Yes, there's a problem with Yuvraj's attitude," Rajput said. "We will have to have a one- on-one with him in Sydney."
Yuvraj was fortunate to escape a fine from International Cricket Council match referee Mike Procter, after he lingered at the crease long after Billy Bowden adjudged him caught behind for a first-innings duck.

Well in my opinion if the umpire gives the batsmen out, then the batsmen has to walk regardless whether the batsmen thinks its a bad decision or not !!, Yuvraj did a very stupid thing, when he stood there but, i don't think he deserves to be dropped or publicly humiliated for what he did
Although on an entirely different note Rahul Dravid MUST not open in the 2nd test vs Aus

Dear Miss Ange.
Yes I did read about this on the internet. I did not get to watch all the action. It seems this match match must have been interesting, judging by the hot weather it generated here when I had logged in.
I think that players should walk when the umpire gives them out. However, it does not happen (this is true for all sides in the world), but to err is human.
The piece as quoted by you, seems to indicate that that there is more to this story than his show of dissent on field. Maybe trouble in the dressing room? It must be serious enough to make such a public statement.
Seems like the Inidan side has been hit by the type of problems that has been plaguaging the Pakistan side for some time now. Things are bound to get worse whilst playing in Australia and does not auger well for the India side .
I was also looking at the scores. I had seen Dravid playing the 1st innings. It was appaling. I read the figures in the second innings at it seems he made around 16 odd runs of 116 balls. It is incredible!!
With all this going on I dont think India will be pose any challenge at all.
With Pakistan matches being in doubt , I am rapidly loosing interest in the proceedings.
I hope that the Indians get their act together, otherwise it will turn out to be a one-sided contest despite the great talent that exist in the Indian team.
Sincerely
your brother Rehman from Multan

That sort of public comment is equally as unhelpful as Yuvraj's attitude. Have the one-on-one, drop him, but shut up about it - well that's my opinion!
I can comment publicly though as I'm not the Manager!!! His attitude was appalling. He fielded like a third grade player with chronic fatigue syndrome. He batted like he didn't care and his demeanour let the whole team down.
How he escaped a huge fine for standing at the crease with a snarl like that is beyond me. Kumble actually did cop a rough decision in the first innings and impressed me no end with just tucking the bat under his arm and walking off. India has the right captain there, now some of the wannabes need to follow the example. Then we'll have a competitive India - and wouldn't that be fun!

I think, Yuvraj has threatened the team management that if he doesn't get a seat in test side, he is gonna boycott complete series including ODIs. i think Yuvraj thinks , he is indispensable becuase BCCI has raised him to cloud 9 after dumping hell of a lot of money of that Stuart Broad over of 6 sixes in 20 - 20. yes, there is a problem with his attitude , he is a guy , who beleives in fun, boozing and enjoying and we all saw, he acted like a dumb buffalo at the pitch, when he was given out, he should have walked immidiately. i think this Indian team is more concerned aabout their seats in the side and trying to pull each other in the process. Just becuase Yuvi threatened gentleman Kumble , the whole batting order, which was proven against Pakistan , just was displaced and unorganised like Dravid playing in a scared way and overcautious. Laxman shifted from no 6 to no3. All this was done to accomodate Yuvi and above all if he doesn't perform and behave arrogantly , that is real icing on the cake. He should know that no one is indispensable.
the comments are justified but not to be published in media. It should be addressed with Yuvraj and Kumble instead of commenting in media

I think the most important quality in a cricketer should be his attitude. No matter how talented he is, if he doesnt have a good attitude, he is not gonna be of any purpose to the team. Cricket is a team game and in these games the individual needs to work for the team. I think this is where Rahul Dravid comes in as a role model. He has kept wickets for India when needed and also has opened the batting for India. These are sacrifices that an individual needs to make for the team.
If Yuvraj has a bad attitude as reported by Mr. Rajput(which is a doubt), which was reported in the media, then its time to make him understand and play for the team. He could be very valuable for the team if his attitude is good. But go through the below links. Really shocking how media interprets things!
And yeah, this is shocking to read:
