Check for voltage at the leads near the tank. if you have power, most likely the pump is bad . I have installed a few Bad "new" pumps.

I had this same problem on my 93 Silverado. Turned out to be the small rubber hose connecting the pump to the sending unit was split and I didn't notice it when changing the fuel pump. I could hear the pump running but the gas never left the tank. I suggest pulling the line off and verify for yourself the pump is doing its job. If you don't hear it running, its probably an electrical problem.Be sure to check all of the ground connections and fuses.

you could have clogged fuel lines, try having those checked, or you may not be getting any spark , check your plugs and wires, it could be an ignition module. good luck
