Hi . I work as a sales rep in a computer company and i hate it so so much. I first accepted the job because i couldnt find anything else. Im not good at selling at all and the job is very frustrating to me. The pay and benefits are good, it's just im always streesed out and sometimes cant even sleep and I could possibly get fired because of my performance on the job. Im just not sure if quitting is the most responsible thing to do right now. In terms of insurance, I can get COBRA from the company while I can be added to my hubbys insurance. My plan is to basically quit and stay at home or find a temp job until the baby comes and then find something else. I know we can financially be ok for the next 3 months until the baby is born and I can get a higher paying job but one that I actually like. I just dont know if I can take staying in that company anymore. FYI: in my current job i dont qualify for FMLA, only for short term dis (6 months paid). But I could deal not having that. THANK YOU

I wouldn't see first about maternity leave, that way if it doesn't work out for you, you could return. Talk it over with your husband and do whats best for you. Good luck to you and your pregnancy. You're pregnant and you shouldn't have to deal with that kind of stress, NO JOB IS WORTH risking the health of you child...

Tell your boss you just haven't decided what you're doing yet (as you are worried about being able to afford quitting it's the truth.) And go ahead and fill out the HR paperwork, it isn't a commitment that you're going to stay, it's more of a just in case. You don't know what you want for sure yet, and four weeks notice is more than generous.

If your job is that bad and you can afford to quit then do so. Unfortunately finding a job while you are pregnant is not that easy. Employers might find excuses to not hire you. I know it's wrong but it happens a lot.

Honestly, I would stay at the job until you have the baby. You have no idea how expensive it is to have a baby! I know you hate your job. Everybody does. Just hang in there and know that it is temporary. If you quit, they win. They want you to because you save them alot of money with health insurance. Just stay. You seem like you have a great marriage and looking forward to a new bundle of joy. Better to have drama at work than at home. And remember, you have to have some crap to deal with in your life. It is the laws of nature and better to have it at the job.
I wish you well.

you don't have much more to go--try to stick it out. while you can get cobra, it's so expensive--i've heard up to $500 a month! don't waste money on that! hubby's insurance probably wont take you until after the baby's born--pregnancy is a preexisting condition and sometimes you have to wait for an open enrollment date as well, which could be months away. if you have to quit, talk to your doc 1st and see if he/she can recommend an early leave so you can still get your benefits.

I THINK IF YOU ARE STRESSED IT IZ NOT GOOD FOR THE BABY SO IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU NEED TO STOP DOING THAT JOB AND IT WILL TAKE THE STRESS OFF DO IT PLUS U CAN GET ANOTHER JOB THE BABY COMES FIRST
