Do you have to be a certain age to test drive a car? (Other than the 16-year old licensing age)

Edit: So dealers would be reluctant in letting a 16-year old drive an S2000 or 350Z or some other hi-power car like that?

I can't see a dealer letting anybody under 25 drive a high power/ high price car unless they came in and left a shopping bag full of cash as a deposit.

That would depend on the dealers insurance. I don't think that there is any set age regarding test drives. I do think that dealers will be reluctant to let a 16 year old drive a 500+HP car or truck though. They are concerned about their car and your safety.

good luck.
