I have oil/broth from the Turkey I made on Christmas and it's not budging from the bottom of my stove - it is impossible to take off , does anyone know what I could use to remove this gunk?

Thanks in advance.

Okay - but I have cats and if the smell leaks out and about wouldn't that be health hazardous?

I myself have tried the ammonia trick and it never worked for me. I like Fume Free Easy Off or Dawn Power De-solver (its in a pump spray its not dish liquid). Choose one or the other (don't use them together) spray on and come back in a few hours and clean it up. And a word of caution when they tell you to wear gloves they mean it. Both are very powerful and will eat your skin! So beware!

Re is on the right track. Pour a dish (not metal) full of ammonia and leave it in the closed oven over night. The next day it will have softened up all that gunk and you will be able to wash it out.

Use the Easy off, but it won't hurt the cats unless they eat it. Spray it on, leave it overnight with the door closed, and clean it in the morning.

Hold your nose and pour ammonia right on the spot. Close the oven door and go somewhere for a while. That should cut it very well.

Set the clean cycle on the oven.

Spray it with a de-greaser then scrub with a Brillo pad.:)
