okay.
first off.
Liqour, Shaquitta etc. i can agree with you. there quite ghetto.
and i hate names like that.
now this is what i dont get about your question.
the ghetto names previously stated are "ghetto." they're not african american names. they never were. they're not even african names. Some hood rat made them up, and now there ghetto.
WEALLKNOWTHAT.
now.
i have a friend named Katie and she's african american.
you could have just said "some nice decent names." there's no such thing as an african american name unless you mean african. which clearly you dont.
same with, there's no such thing as a caucasian name. they're all names.
name her molly for all i care.
sheesh

If you don't want the "ghetto" creations or brand name sort -- and I don't blame you! ;) -- pretty much any lovely feminine name will work equally well on an African American little girl as it would on any other. ;)
You did mention you wanted less common options, so perhaps something along the lines of ...
Devri
Devanie
Dara/Darragh
Savarra(h)
Nathaira/Nathara
Annora(h)/Enora
Alannah
Nolanna
Cecily
Cerelia
Aila
Mairenn
Romilly
Finola
Finella
Fiora
Ayelet
Lirit
Liora
Audra
Perla
Zaira
Zahra
Dahlia
Carys
Aisling
Fallon
Larkin
Althea/Alethea
Deirdre
Laurice
Serafina
Siobhan
Treasa
Talitha
Vashti
Viola
Alastriona
Chara
Chandra
Clio
Callista
Xanthe/Xanthea/Xanthia
Saphira
Sapphira
All very real names, but not at all expected or overused. ;) Most are Celtic, Greek or Hebrew options, by the way. You can find more info on most of them here: http://www.behindthename.com/
And if an actual African name would appeal, there's also ...
Abena
Adanna
Asha
Desta
Eniola
Folami
Imani
Sauda
Subira
Thema
Zola
Zuri
More on those here: http://www.behindthename.com/nmc/afr_f.php
Hope they help! ;)

Personally I believe that names are race less so, you could name your child whatever you want.
If you are looking for names that are commonly giving to African American girls you could try something like Tamica (there are a million ways to spell that name), Jayla, Keisha, Natasha (Its a Russian name but in my lifetime I've net met anyone other than young black women with this name), Octavia, Chantelle, Khadija, Tiffany, Kenya, Brianna, Jordan, Shawn, Latoya, or Sofiya.
You could also use variations of names like Keisha and add the prefix La, Na or Ta. You could also do that with a name like Maya to get pretty names like Jamaya or Kimaya.
I am African American and my first daughter will be named either Abeni or Cailyn.
Good luck finding a name and don't pressure yourself into finding an African American name. Keep your mind open so that you can find the best name for your child no matter what its origin is or what race it is often associated with.

The number one complaint of women is that men don’t listen. When a woman is talking, listen to what she is saying. Read here http://AttractAnyWoman.emuy.info/?m5v6
Don’t watch her mouth and wonder what it would feel like to kiss her. Don’t stare at her chest and imagine what she looks like naked. Really listen to what she is saying then give an intelligent response, preferably on the same subject.
