I think the person who asks the question should only be able to thumbs down. I hate when people give thumbs down to the answers to MY questions!!!!!

Yeah, I think thumbs down is stupid ...... it is rude and many people just abuse it ..... maybe Yahoo should just get rid of both thumbs since the asker picks the answer they want no matter what others think ...... sometimes the answers with the most thumbs up are just answers that make fun of the question asker or are just to the most popular person of the people who answered the question no matter what there answer even is ....... there is really no good use for the thumbs anyway ...... = )

If it's an opinion question, I think thumbs down is rude.
If someone answers just to be an a*hole, or if they're just really obnoxious, then I don't care if someone gives them a thumbs down.

I like giving thumbs up. I think some people abuse the thumbs down though and just give them out to everyone.

I totally agree. Sometimes a Troll will just surf all questions and just thumbs down everyone. Not at all fair for the people involved.

i do no longer know, i assume that that's using fact they do no longer trust that persons opinion. different human beings, in spite of it being opinionated ought to in comparison to what somebody else is asserting. Like if somebody says pink is their favourite shade, somebody else ought to study that reaction and think of 'Ew! pink is disgusting.' and in addition they are going to thumbs down it. :/ i've got considered human beings get lots of thumbs down while answering opinionated questions using bashing different peoples responses. the different time than that seems truly infantile, yet i do no longer see how that's a huge deal.
