If your ipod is shaking and rattling then they will probably just replace it on the spot. I have had my ipod replaced twice over my warranty time. One was because my battery wasnt lasting long enough (they just believed me and replaced it on the spot) and another because it was making noises and taking too long to load songs. The guy held it up to his ear and said, yep, it shouldnt make noises and replaced it on the spot.

Go to apple.com and make an appt with the genius bar of your nearest apple store. You can find out where that is and make the appt online. Then just go in and tell them what is going on. It is very likely they will just replace it on the spot. All you have to do is sign.

It has a one year warranty so you wont be charged anything.

Apple will restoration something OOW (Out of guarantee) for a value. If the device has gotten moist, they show you how to comprehend there is no longer something they are in a position to do, different than to furnish to sell you a sparkling or refurbished iPod at they present day pricing on their internet site.

It depends on your warranty. My friend's ipod didn't work right so she went to the apple store and exchanged it.
