I don't do a minute by minute inventory of my freezer but I do of my refrigerator! hehe!

Why IS there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?

My big upright freezer has one - because it is the same size as a refrigerator. The freezer portion of my side-by-side fridge/freezer has one in the freezer.
I think with the over/under type of fridge/freezer, the freezer is small enough to where it doesn't need one.

Lol our light in the fridge went out..but we didnt bother ta do anything cause we pretty much can see the food..if its too dark then open the freezer lol it has a light.

It boils down to the first law of thermodynamics / conservation of energy. Freezers like mine, which have a light, are exempt from the laws of thermodynamics because of some scientific thingy.

cos the tempurature can get so cold in the freezer and you opened the door the light turns on emmitting heat which wil crack or shatter the glass the element is encased in

because the light bulb would crack and brake i think. plus the light in the fridge i think is there to rummage through in the middle of the night and who needs help finding the big box of ice creme i think that's its alot easier to feel for ice creme in the dark! but kidding aside I'm sure its because the bulb would crack!

cause nobody eats a frozen hot dog in the middle of the night, the nighttime grazing is usually something from the fridge! {shoot , i don't know!}
