i took my acer laptop to be repaired at best buy they said it weas still under the year manufacturers warranty but then looked at the sticker on the back of the laptop and it had faded so they said we cant service it you have to go through acer, which im sure wont be fun but today i pulled out the battery and saw the sticker with the snid number

You could go back there and show it to them. The battery well is a common place for the ID. Did you talk to a real technician or just someone working the reception desk. I would be a little skeptical of that place, but maybe it was just a fluke. Is there another place that you can go for warranty service?

My serial number from laptop (Asus X51RL series) is deleted from the sticker due to a long usage, and it is a second hand product. How can I find my laptops` serial number, in this case?
