What should I look at when wanting to try out some predictive astrology?

For example, if I wanted to know how the area of love would look in the future, what transits should I look out for? What about the natal chart? Progressed chart, perhaps?

2) The most important transits are the transits of Jupiter and Saturn to new houses.
3) Check if the transiting planets are going retrograde.
4) On the progressed chard check which planets are changing state of exaltation and detriment.
Those are the basic things to watch out for. Do the big ones first before concerning about the tedious calculations for fast planets such as moon and mercury.
