I am doing an internship this spring, and I have heard some people talking about the possibility of money specifically for GLBT students to do things like this. Not really sure if this is true or not. Does anyone know?

Yeah, I know there are some. If you're in a largish city and have a local lgbt center your best bet is to check with them.
Search your city name and glbt community center.

My local gay men's group sponsors two scholarships each year for students to go to college or pursue a career. We got together with our local PFLAG chapter and adminster it through pflag. Why not contact your local pflag?
Maybe they can give you some leads or an application if they have a program.

I seriously doubt that an endowment earmarked for GBLT would stand up to tax law.

That's all there is money for. Try getting money if you are normal.
