And I know what "google it" means.
What do you like better: yahoo or google?
I personally like yahoo better.
And does anyone know what it means when it says "im feeling lucky"?

The "I'm Feeling Lucky" button skips the search results page and takes you to the webpage of the first result.
Google is definitely a better search engine than Yahoo!. One reason is that Yahoo! Search frequently brings up results that are malware sites or phishing sites. Google seems to filter these out better. Google also gives more relevent results in general, it's creepy sometimes how Google seems to know exactly what I'm looking for, like they're reading my mind. And Google Image Search is much better than Yahoo! Image Search. Anytime I try to use Yahoo! Images the results are frustratingly far from what I intended, but Google Images gets it right most of the time.
Oh yeah, and Gmail pwns Yahoo! Mail.

the best answer would be that Google.com was considered for a while to be the best search engine for getting your answers from the Internet. So everyone started saying Google it. Did you know that Aspirin was a brand name used by the Bayer Pharmaceutical Co. for their pain reliever? Now it is a generic term. Google may go the same way.

Because most of the times people request such simple pieces of info that it will be better and fast for them to search it at Google or Yahoo than to sit around and wait for an answer.

I prefer Google and I don't really have a reason why.
I suppose If I was going to direct somebody to Yahoo, Instead of "Yahoo it" I think I'd say "Give it a Yahoo"

Yahoo makes people pay to be searched for. That is morally wrong. If I want people to be able to look up my site, then I am not going to pay to be looked for. I don't pay to be in the phone book, i dont pay to be on yahoo.
I'm feeling lucky is like the AOL keyword search. You type in some of the tags on the website, and you will be instantly transported to the site, instead of getting a search page

I always say google because I'm use to it. I guess more people are used to it too. It doesn't mean it's any better then Yahoo.

When you click "I'm feeling lucky" it just takes you straight to the first result of the google search, instead of looking at the google page. Personally, I like google, just because I use it for my search, calendar, e-mail, and many other things.

I'm not sure why the phrase has caught on the way it has. I think Google gives you more relevant search results, but Yahoo gives you better organization of the search results.
