If anything, I am more curious and interested in learning than I ever was before. I don't know if it is age, or the fact that now that I am retired I have so much time to learn about things I am interested in, where before my mind and time was occupied with work and earning a living.

I don't understand retired people who say they are bored. I don't know how I found time to work!

Oh, my goodness yes!! I find that its more about "do what I say"...LOL I am so much more assertive than I was say four years ago.

I am also more intense about saving the world and world views. I find I am so much more sacrifical now and willing to give my all for people I don't know... I was sort of like that when I was young, but at that time, it was without descretion. Now, I am smarter about who I do what for, but its intense and loyal!

Oh, and I understand my maturity now. I know why I don't want to cut someone off in traffic. It's because I don't want people hurt. Whereas, when I was young, I woudn't cut someone off because someone had told me not to. You can have maturity by the gallons full, but untill you UNDERSTAND why you do what you do, it doesn't amount to a hill... And that's where wisodom with age makes sense.

Physically i'm just creeping along but I feel an urgency to learn as much as possible as the time I have winds down. Personality wise, I've lost a lot of my fiery temper and am grateful for that. I am pretty mellow now.

I don't act or think my age but I am less intense than when I was young.
Music and poetry were my loves and deep session of philosophical conversations. After crossing 50 I decided I liked the silly things in life and therefore I try to indulge that desire. It's so much fun!!

And that's a good thing. When you're young, you spend your life bringing up children and working. As you get older though and you have more time on your hands, you....well, I, want to learn all I can...read all I can. When I was even years old, my Dad once told me that the world was my school house. I am now 60 years old and finally present in class.

I think I have grown more intense. I've learned that life can be short so my life has become more honest, interesting and fun. I know I've become more spiritual and have done a lot more meditating and reading. It's made me more intense because I feel a stronger need to fulfill my purpose.

I am more intense about the things that really matter.
Family Family Family. I am more laid back about the things that will not matter in five years.

I find that I have learned to pick my battles, I do not sweat the small stuff anymore. It is not good for the blood pressure anyway. But I do have some subjects that irk me to no end, my pet peeves I guess you could say. As you say the physical
part may deter you, but the mind is still sharp, so use it or loose it.
