I'm not look for a specific play, just a generic play ie: strikeout, groundout, passed-ball, etc...

suicide squeeze

In a suicide squeeze, the runner takes off during the pitch, even before the pitcher has released the ball. This will likely make a play at the plate impossible if the batter makes any kind of contact at all, but it means that the runner will almost certainly be out if the batter fails to make contact. Hence the batter must try to hit the ball, even if the pitch is wildly out of the strike zone, so this play requires a more skilled bunter.

This question is so much harder to answer than it seems cause some plays or more exciting than others at different times. It depends on the state of the game.

But I guess I'll go with a walk-off homerun with 2 outs.

Also, an inside the park homerun cause you can really get into that. Watching the player go, seeing if he'll make it home.

Also nothing beats when an outfielder makes a great catch that you were sure wasnt gonna get caught.

Common Play : Homerun - Just so exciting. The crowd roraring, the ball soaring, the player rounding the bases...

Rare Play : Inside the Park Grand Slam. Not only is it the most rare play in baseball, its the most exciting one. I mean, its a guy running 360 feet without being tagged. On top of that, the bases are loaded witch means everyone else has to hustle too.

A homerun is always exciting to get, but even mroe when you need them, but there is no telling when a homerun will come until the ball sails out of the park, and into the fair side of the stands, and gives a team a lead, tie, or closer to catching up. But I bet the mosting exicting one to get, is when you get a milestone home run, like 100, 200, 500, 600, 700 or even more if you are that good of a home run hitter.

A ripping line drive right back to the pitcher who is off balance from the pitch and can only just stab at it, but manages to catch it anyway.
Or the deep long hit just over the fence, but the fielder jumps and makes the catch over the top of the barrier.
Any diving catch is exciting too.
When the second baseman has to jump to avoid being hit by a sliding runner and throw the ball to first for the double play!
Too many exciting plays to pick just one.

The unassisted triple play was the first I thought of, but I have seen 2 of those and they happened so quickly there was no excitement factor.

So I would say the play at home plate or the late inning home run with the game on the line.

An un-assisted triple play. Very very rare but very awesome to see one where the runners on the base pads are caught off guard by the infielder making a diving catch for the first out. Then stepping on the bag, while one of the runners is caught off base, for the second out. Then tagging the other caught runner as he comes into the base, the infeilder just stepped on, for out number three.

A walk off home run with 2 outs and a 3-2 count.

If you're looking purely for excitement, it's hard to top an inside-the-park homerun. Unlike a triple play it's not so quick that you barely have time to register what happened.
