You asked "anywhere in the world?" then you said "in the country or the city?"

First question, I would stay here in the U.S.A as far as anywhere in the world goes. This country has it's problems, political and otherwise but I still feel it is the best country on earth. I've lost faith that we are a God fearing country any more that lives by His rules and under His guidance. I feel we have turned our collective back to Him and His ways. That is already taking it's toll on us, but still, it's the best country there is.

Now, in the country or city. . . . maybe a better definition of each would help. One person's idea of country could be another person's idea of city, and the reverse as well.

Personally, I would prefer to live in the country, semi-rural. I want to be out away from traffic and a lot of cars and people. I don't like crowds, I'm not a party animal. I like to live where it is quiet, where you can hear the cow moo down the road or the neighbor's annoying rooster at all hours of the morning and night. I don't want to hear car horns and roaring engines and boom box cars.

I do want to be able to shop and go to movies and so forth, but I don't mind driving 50 plus miles to get there if it means I an keep my country residence.

Good luck.

Born in a city in the middle of the USA.
Now choose to live in a small town with salt water nearby.

The Gulfcoast was good while it lasted. But my heart has taken me to the Southern hemisphere. Today I am enjoying a warm Summer day with ocean breezes.
Peace.

I would like to live in a 5 star resort where i can get room service, valet and concierge service 24/7, have new sheets and housekeeping every day and access to bar, pool, spa and more just steps away! with ocean and city views! Somewhere like Los Angeles.

I want to live in San Diego because the people there are very friendly as if they lived in a small town, but it's still next to the beach. Plus I've grown up there, even though I don't live there, so I would already feel at home.

Someplace where there isn't any trouble.
Do you suppose there is such a place SuziQ211?

I guess this means the country, because not only is it quiet, if a city is nearby, say within an hour or so, you can have the best of both worlds, you know. And no winter, please.

Miami Florida. I like warm weather, warm people, living in the city, and a feeling that the economy is not going to go under if one employer moves operations to China. I've lived in Florida before and I miss it so much.

Definite country. Private life. Quiet times.

I would not recommend living in Altus Oklahoma. I think North Carolina is a great state. Its on the east coast, all 4 seasons, mountains and the beach.

I'd live in the country. I like it there. Cities are fine to visit, but there are too many people, moving too fast. I like a slower pace.
