Um he should really be able to talk to me, if he can't I'd have to question why. Yes I would be jealous, I'd want that w/ him not have him have it w/ someone else.

No I wouldn't be jealous. Why would I be. As long as both of you talk together and actually have a conversation with your wife, why should there be any problems. Now if you are the type of person that doesn't like to talk to your wife, then chances are you are having other problems in other facets of your relationship with your wife.

The trick here is to be open and honest with your wife and ask the same of her. This does not give you the green light to be an A**hole. If she is talking to her friend more than you, you might consider re-evaluating HOW you talk to your wife and work on establishing that type of conversation with her if you really don't like her talking to a guy friend. This just means that you are missing out on her life if she has to explain it to another guy and chances are, the convo is either about you or has something to do with you and she is needing comfort to keep her sanity.

My husband has had platonic friends of the opposite sex. No, I've never been jealous. He has never given me any reason to be. You have to know who you're dealing with.

We only turn to each other for any opposite sex relationships. We are best friends, and have no reason to invite anyone else into our marriage, even if only on a platonic level.

No. How can people not be friends with members of the opposite sex? Are you telling me that you are attracted to all people of the opposite sex?

I have a friend that is a man, with whom I'd never cheat with. My husband has a friend who is a woman, with whom he'd never cheat with. It can help relationships, because you can get a different perspective on situations when you talk to your friends.

My husband and I BOTH had many friends of the opposite sex before we got married and we are still friends with them ALL now that we are married.
Jealousy of a platnoic relationship is just plain silly. We all need a support system of more than just one person in our lives.

I would be 'concerned' if I was married and my husband had a best female friend. I believe the wife is supposed to take that position. I understand when a female and male are friends for years and years, but if they don't get married, and someone else comes a long who becomes the wife or the husband, that relationship needs to be put off...

No, a husband has a right to have friends no matter male of female. Especially if they were friends long before we met. What gives me the right to tell him who he can and can't talk too.

I would be jealous. I would have to look at why though. Are they getting something out of the relationship w/ their friend that I can't give? Jealousy stems from wanting something that someone else has. So if there is jealousy what does that other "friend" have and provide that you can not.

The only problem I can see with the friend of the opposite sex thing is one always has feelings for the other even though the other is not aware of it...I did have a female friend and we were very close I ended contact with her right after she got married , I didn't think it was fair to him even though I know he is a jerk and if she was so happy with the guy why the hell was she talking to me.......
