Hey, I'm thinking about moving somewhere upstate New York like Syracuse or Cicero and I'm wondering if anyone from either of these places could tell me how they like it up there, what are the people like overall, how's the crime rate, what certain parts have the most Italians/Sicilians, and finally are there any other cities upstate that I should consider aswell?

The area around Syracuse has many people with Italian heritage. Lots of great Italian restaurants, bakeries, and delis.
Housing prices are among the cheapest in the nation, but the crime rate right in Syracuse is rather high. I would look for a small town near Syracuse, houses are still cheap, very little crime, and near enough to go to enjoy the amenities.

Cicero is very nice its quited if you move to Syracuse you wont to look for a good place to live the north side was once very nice but now it all you see is garbage on the streets and drug dealers the west side and the south side is the same you can find a nice place on the east side but it will cost you there Syracuse is not a good place to live i lived there for 34 years and i had to move because of all the killings and drugs i did not want my kids around all that

Sillycuse has lake effect snow..and LOTS of it. South and West sides are the not so great parts of town. Northside: Little Italy. Lots of Germans and Polish too.

Me, personally, hated every single minute I was forced to live there and now only go back for weddings and funerals..and then only if I actually LIKE the person(or am immediately related).

Upsides: Syracuse does have a decent amount of culture and sports between SU, the Chiefs and the Crunch. Job market is decent, good shopping. can usually find shows or concerts worth your while. Dinosaur BBQ: best.blues.joint.and.BBQ.place.EVER. KILLER Italian bakeries and German meat markets( Steigerwalds on the North Side)

That respondent is particularly portray with an extremely wide brush. to illustrate, many Catholics experience that way, yet no longer all. Their present day Pope holds to this concept. Now I particularly have not met a Methodist, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Nazarene, or any of the main Protestant religions ever make that declare. in certainty, I particularly have stable fellowship with all of them. We purely attempt to no longer quibble over minutia. There are denominations that greater healthy this invoice. some I classify as cults. There are the seventh Day Adventists, Church of Latter Day Saints, and Jehovah Witnesses. There are different religions that greater healthy this invoice to boot, yet we are speaking approximately Christian denominations. Jesus said_I_am the way, the certainty, and the existence. No different denomination can take that fact and persist with it to them. in the event that they do, they're in basic terms fooling themselves.
