some one claims to not have received an item i sent, and sent me a dispute email via paypal. Problem is, i closed my paypal account a while after the transaction and i cant log in, to resolve the problem. i have been told it can be escalated to claim and i will not be able to withdraw the money, the money has already been spent what do i do?

Well i have had this same problem..a lady paid me for a coat it didn't fit her so i told her to send it back she did but i never received it, i have had a dispute open for a few weeks You should contact whoever sent the parcel for you if it was royal mail you need to ask them for a claim form to see where your parcel went to and it will go from there

Hopefully you bought delivery confirmation for the item you sent for the item you sent. That is the only way to prove you sent and the person in question got the item. If necessary try to find an 800 number to call paypal. If they find in the buyers favor they will take the money from your back up source of funding.

what will happen is if you didnt get a tracking number for the item you will have to give them the money back i'm sorry but paypal never listen if you don't have a tracking number i have been in the same situation. they will either take the money from your bank account / credit card but if they cant do that they will pass it on to debt collectors but hopefully you have a tracking number if so phone paypal up and give them the tracking number all the best

Hope you sent it by trackable means then - and you have the postal receipt to check out when it was delivered. Paypal would accept that as proof of delivery.l Ring Paypal for help to get into your account.
