well a young woman speaking to another young woman padded bras are to add shape and a bit of a lift. Since this seems to be one of the first bras you have, I don't think you should need it now, especially since your cup size is an A.
I'm 19 and my cup size in an E (DDD) so I don' have a choice when it comes to underwire bras and padding. You should opt for those features when you are a bigger size or a bit older.
I'm pretty sure you can find pretty bras without the padding or underwire. With them, there is a lot of care and not much of a lifespan. They also can be pretty expensive.
hope it helps.

Personally, I think a 12 year old girl should be a 12 year old girl and should not be trying to grow old too fast.
A 34A cup barely needs a bra as it is, let alone a padded, push-up one (Why would a 34A need any underwiring?!).. I can see that a girl wants to feel like she is older, but at that age I feel that a bra should be practical and not trying to sexualize what is in fact a child at the end of the day.
Let's let kids be kids!

I think a 12 year old girl is old enough to choose her own bra, and there is nothing wrong with a padded bra. I do understand that you do not want classmates knowing it's padded and for that reason, I would say to wait two years to pad. By high school it won't be such a new thing and no one will pay attention to what you do with your bra. But underwire and push up should be fine.

No. The cupped padded underwire is okay but not the push-up. A 12 year old doesn't need that. When one is young, the "girls" are naturally pushed up. Enjoy that feeling before gravity sets in!

If she is in need of a bra, and has developed that much then she should be wearing one but not one that is designed to enhance her body. At the age of 12, a girl doesnt know how to handle herself in a situation that a padded underwire push up bra could bring on.

I think you are maybe a little bit young to be doing that. I understand the pressure though, because girls and guys are trying to grow up so fast these days. Maybe just wear a regular bra (no padding or underwire).

i dont think you should wera anything b4 its time , and if you are a 34A then nothing at all will sufice , wear a training bra if you really want to , but at an a cup , there is no need to rush , btw push up bras are designed to make them look bigger , as well as padding , but at 12 you have no buisness doing that either !

No, 12 years is a bit young to be worrying about breast size and cleavage. A 12 year old has only begun to grow. Get an ordinary bra and enjoy being 12.

Cupped, Padded and Push Up for a 12 year old,,,, a little much for her age. It depends on what messages you will tolerate her sending to others. You are the role-model for this little girl's thoughts and behaviors. If I were you I would take a stand on this and say, "No way. I don't care what your friends are doing !" Twelve?? Come on.
