this is something i wondered quite a bit lately. i am in my third year of high school, and from the time i was in grade 10-12, each year my school has lost a model student. i am from a small town in prince edward island, so death is not something we see often with our class mates. It first happened in grade 12 a model student named chelsey died, later on that year, chelseys (the girl who died) best friend also had lost her little sister that year, then in my grade 12 year, we have lost a girl named martha. all of these girls which were 16-17 years old. chelsey died 3 days after her 17th birthday. then two days after my best friends birthday, she had lost one of her good friends. her name was bonnie. what happens to us after we die, it really cant end, as the song "believe by brooks n dunn" says, "it cant end with a slow ride in a herse" can it, then we get burried, and after a hundred years forgotten about. what is the sense of living if we live to die?

Wow........ hmmmmmm. um yeah well all i can say is speaking from personal experience. My mother in law passed away about 3 yrs ago, and you know she was the most amazing woman that you would ever meet. She knew how to fit 4 days chores into one, she was a devoted mother and avid writer, and had strength far beyond what i could ever hope to have sadly she was taken by cancer, death seems so final there is no way you can really comprehend it only for the fact that "hey they aren't there".
However I don't believe that this is the end since I become more involved in the spiritual side of things has helped me realised that they are still around and serve as guides for us I know a lot of times when i am having ruff trot she does things to let me know that she is still here and that she still loves us. One of the things that she always said is " I will be hear for you in this life time as best i can, and i will also be there for you in the next and i take comfort in feeling her presence. I really feel that you would greatly benefit by reading the book "We are there heaven", and "Don't kiss them good bye" both of these written by Allison DuBious these books are so inspiring, awesome and they were life changing for me, see what you think.

I'm sorry that happened and I'm sorry for your loss. Grief when losing someone close is a long process and the questions you have are normal for someone of your situation, in my opinion.
People die in high schools all over the country but in a small town it hits particularly hard because they're so close like family.
I guess we all have to come up with our own answers to those questions. For me personally I've been strengthened by the deaths of people I've loved to love the people I love more fiercely and fearlessly --to "seize the day" if you've ever seen the movie Dead Poet's Society. It's good for this topic, if you haven't. Another good one is It's a Wonderful Life.
I want very much in this next year to live life to the fullest and help people and love people and be a friend and be kind and do what I can to make people feel less alone in this world that is sometimes harsh. That's what I've learned through the pain for myself. You'll find your own answers.
I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Hang in there.

Our purpose on earth is a lot deeper than you realise. This is just the rehearsal for the great after-life. It's not only a rehearsal either, it's promotion and marketing. Learn the Word, speak it and bring more to Christ. Then you will realise what life is for. A rebirth in the Holy Spirit will show you much more within this life let alone the next one.

We don't live to die. We live because we die.
If we were to live forever and never die. Then why would we live? We would eat all the hamburgers we want and get fat and have heart attacks. But we would never die. We would continue living. We live because one day we know we will die.
Everyday we wake up, not because we have to, but because we can. We live everyday of our lives because one day when it ends we want to think "I did everything I ever wanted to do".
I don't know what happens after we die. Sometimes I believe we go to heaven or we are reincarnated. I believe we will reincarnate until we learn what we can only learn with living.
So do not think we live to die. We do not.
We live because we can
We love because we want to
"Life is not about the breaths we take
But the moments that take our breath away"
We live because we die.

Man created Gods (lots of Gods) because he did not want to die then kills those that worship the same God in a different way. We as a race will become extinct as **** Erectus before us.
All forms of life behave as if persistence into the future — immortality — were the basic goal of their existence. This is really worth reading! http://socialanalysis.siteideas.net/immortal.htm
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust
Meaning
We come from dust; we return to dust.
Origin
From the English Burial Service. Adapted from the Biblical text, Genesis 3:19 (King James Version):
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."

Life is to be lived with joy.................God made us to enjoy the earth and life he created for us then when we die we go to heqven or hell depending on if we beleived in Jesus or not.....then we spend eternity with him and live happily ever after,....thats what life is and yes its hard but if it was easy we would certainly take everything for granted! cant enjoy sunshine without aq little rain1
