Why do you feel sorry for people when you see them eating? That is weird. Do you have a problem with food? Bulimic/anorexic?
You shouldn't feel sorry for people, you should feel sorry for African children that aren't eating.

Although not quite the same I relate a little to what you are saying as I eat smaller portions than those around me in restaurants.
When I notice (I don't stare at them) people eating gigantic meals or really slobbering at a nearby table it makes me feel a little weird and slows me down a bit. I usually then have to drink large glasses of water and my eating ceases shortly thereafter.
This doesn't happen too much but just on a couple of occasions recently it has become more noticeable (holiday period perhaps)
It's obviously a forward expression of feeling with you whereas with myself it is a little more of a subconcious button being pushed.
Your situation would need a lot more thought and perhaps investigation into your own eating habits and background, aversions etc.
However it seems to be related to the people and their actual habit of eating rather than the food itself which is very interesting and I am really curious about that.

lol it know what you mean even though it dose not happen to me. its normal and it will pass.ıt could be because you have a mınd set somthing lıke we have to eat to live and so when you see people eating it feels like they being desperate so you feel sorry for them .something along them lines i think.
just don't tell the person this when they are eating :P
nothing to be to worried about but if it dose not pass over some time you could talk to a psychologist but if not its nothing major
lol good question and good luck
