Im getting usb 2.0 (i only have 1.1) do i need to get software or just the hardware (PCI-usb)? Also, does it plug into the same slot as a video card does (or sound card)?

USB 2.0 would plug into a PCI slot, so it would be the same as a add-on sound card would be. You would need to install the USB 2.0 drivers BEFORE you install the card into the computer. Hope this helps.

USB 2.0 is supported in Win XP SP2 and Vista. Your USB 1.1 should turn to 2.0 once software support is provided. The PCI to USB card is installed on the PCI slot and won't fit the graphics slot.
