I don't think you are right.
(-3x)/(x^2-9) plus (4)/(2x-6)
factor the denominators
(-3x)/(x+3)(x-3) plus (4)/2(x-3)
LCD is 2(x+3)(x-3)
2(-3x)/2(x+3)(x-3) plus 4(x+3)/2(x+3)(x-3)
-6x/2(x+3)(x-3) plus (4x+12)/2(x+3)(x-3)
(-2x+12)/2(x+3)(x-3)
factor a 2 from numerator, cancel with denominator for a final answer of
(-x+6)/(x+3)(x-3)

-- 3x / (x^2 -- 9) + 4 / (2x -- 6)
= --3x / (x + 3)(x -- 3) + 4(x + 3) / 2(x + 3)(x -- 3)
= {-- 3 + 2(x + 3)} / (x + 3)(x -- 3)
= (2x + 3) / (x^2 -- 9)

-3x/(x ² - 9) + 4/(2x - 6) =

-3x/(x ² - 9) + 2/(x - 3) =

-3x/(x +3)(x - 3) + 2/(x - 3) =

LCD => (x +3)(x - 3)

[-3x + 2(x + 3)] / [(x + 3)(x - 3)]

(-x + 6) / [(x + 3)(x - 3)]

the first step os to factor the demonimator.

the first term factored = (x-3)(x+3)

the second term factored= 2(x-3)

the LCD= 2(x-3)(x+3)

you multiply both sides of the equasion by this LCD.

then simplify
