Tabitha, the tiger, killed one person and injured two people. Tigers rarely kill people. People rarely kill other people too. Are some animals psychotic like humans? In 1898, there were two lions who killed 135 people in Kenya, Afracia. Just like there are humans who kill multiple people.

Animals have the same neurotransmitters in their brains as humans, and thus can suffer from many of the same mental illness. The difficulty lies with diagnosing, since they can't talk. I know that a vet will prescribe Prozac for a depressed pet, so it wouldn't surprising to learn that an animal can be psychotic too.

Funny you should ask. My friend has a dog that freaks out
when it sees a dirigible (blimp) in the sky. One time we pointed to the sky and yelled "blimp" (there wasn't any) and the dog ran right THROUGH the screen door to get into the house. Maybe not psychotic, but at least a major neurosis. The dog is on meds for this . The dog hasn't killed anyone though.
