they don't "watch" us.
they've never been here
its ridiculous to think that in the billions and billions of stars out there is no possibility of life.
they're out there, they just haven't made it to earth, and I'm not really sure if the odds are good that they could find us. (we are a very tiny tiny needle in a VERY LARGE haystack, (more like billions of haystacks)

aliens are real anyone who thinks other wise is an idiot
as a baby i was born an alien i was then put into a worm hole and sent to earth were i was physically born
i am from quagon 4 and so were my parents aliens are not always lizards or human looking they come far and wide

Are you asking about the movie or 'alien' in general?
I think aliens, in general, are very very different from us. What makes us look like us is the actual environment and planet they are in. Evolution creates the best species to adapt to the planet and the environment. The physics of the planet, the oxygen content in the atmosphere, the climate, the predators around them, the prey they prey on, all these affect how aliens look like and their behaviour as well as their size etc. There will be so many differences between us and the aliens that we'll hardly become close friends should we meet one of them some day.

I have a feeling that whatever sorts of alien creatures there are out there, they'll either be surprisingly like us or so incredibly different we won't even recognize they are life forms.

They are such PICKY eaters. No meat, no eggs, they can't stand sugar. No wonder they are so skinny, with those big heads.
