STOP I would unplug the keyboard (if desktop) and make sure it is 100% dry. Will take time to to completly dry. Better yet, do not take chances and buy another key board, they are cheap enough. Why chance frying your computer.

WAIT!
NO don;t plug it in!
Three things at play here.
COffe with cream and sugar will conduct! don;t plug in a shorted device. It PROBABLY wont hurt anything, but you never know.
Two. You MAYBE can fix it. Believe it or not, if you wrap end of the cable tightly;y in a plastic bag and use a rubberband to seal it up real nice, you can RUN IT THROUGH THE DISHWASHER. I know, I know.. I'm going to get some thumbs down on this, but you CAN. you MUST run it through normally, and then rinse the thing one last time with a bottle of distilled (not spring, not denatured but DISTILLED) water. then dry it out real good.. REAL GOOD in hot sun for two days. If the cable was protected, and the race of screw rust vs drying time came out right, you have a working keyboard..
Now.. Why bother when a nice new usb keyboard costs like $15?
You'll need it anyway while the thing is drying.
Go ahead. Lay it on me. The keyboard I'm typing on right now has been through a dishwasher.
Good Luck.

Well, if it didn't already short out the motherboard, then you can LEAVE IT TURNED OFF and dry it out with a hair dryer as someone else mentioned.
If it was on when you spilled the liquid, and it stopped working then, you probably shorted out the mother board and it very well could be ruined.
My daughter spilled water on hers. We drained it out, took off the battery and opened the memory cover and hard drive cover on the back and used a blow dryer to dry it out.
It worked OK after that; but it was off when the water was spilled on the laptop.
The problem wont be with the keyboard. The problem will be with the electronics underneath the keyboard.

I did that with beer once. Several keys shorted out so I bought an external keyboard and plugged it in to one of the PS/2 ports. Worked like a charm until I could save enough money to buy a new computer.

Wait until it dries, and then I would just buy a new keyboard, one that connects to your USB port- they sell them for about $10-$20. The computer should still work fine.

let it dry good. several hours, over nite. then plug it in and try it. Chances are it is fried. Not worth repairing. You can buy aftermarket Key boards for less than 20 dollars

Open the cover half way and stand it up on end so any fluid will drain down .... blow air on it with a hair dryer and let it sit like that a few days before you try it.
Or, if you feel lucky, just try it!
good luck

I spilled a Pina Colada on my Dell lap top two years ago. I let it dry and have never had a problem with it.
