hey, im 15 and i just played on this aau team this fall for baseball called the bluejays. it was 500 dollars for the 20 games. the organization is a very well respected team with players going every year to the draft, and the coaches all know your high school coaches somehow. however, i really want to play this summer. they play like 70 games and go to florida. my best friend is going to play on the team too. the thing is that the team is 2500 dollars and my parents are divorced and my mom says she will not sling a 1000 dollars for it to split it somehow with my dad. my dad is willing to let me play, if my mom splits it. how do i play? and how do i persuade my mom, or just have her let me play?

Ask your dad to talk to your mom, it'll allow for an awesome segue..your parents might get back together, and you will end up playing baseball.

Welcome to the real world. You are 15 years old and there is still time to get a job and earn some money. Maybe if you show how serious you are you parents or coaches may work something out. It sounds like an awful lot of money and maybe your mom needs it for other things like food and clothing. Good Luck,I'm sure there are other teams you can play on for a lot less money if this doesn't work out!

Well it seems you are in a tough situation. you don't want to disappoint your mom, but you also really want to play baseball. Since your dad understands the situation a little more. Talk to your mom first. Tell her how bad you really want to play and how much it means to you, but also let her know you are willing to help out because of the high cost to play. I am sure she will understand. If not come to me for my answers. Hope i can help

Tough question, I can see that your parent's marriage didn't work out, as they might like it to. But that is a awful lot of money to paly baseball, for either fall, or sumer leagues, I think they might be more outragous. If you were old enough, I would tell you to get a job, or have a bank account to help out. Well you can comprise with your parents, do something that you wouldn't normmaly do, more like if oyu voluntteer to do something, that otherise you wouldn't like to do. Or maybe cut her a break, and make your dad pay more, whether he would like to or not. Now if you get an allowance for either your mom or dad, you can help save it up, help out save up some of the money yourself. I don't know how you will play the game, no matter who pays more money. But help your parents out, and save some money for yourself. If you have to, if you are friendly at all with your neighbors, see if you can split a deal with them, to maybe cut thier lawn, or help otu or something. And not go and bribe your friend's parents, or bribe your friend to bribe his/her parents to give you money to play baseball. But have some sort of plan, to help you make this go, that you can play on this league in Florida, or wherever they play before, they hit to Florida for championships. But work out some sort of deal with you parents, and stike to that deal, and if you don't, they can disapoint you, but not letting you play.

tell her you'll raise a lot of the money yourself. If she still says no, just start saving up for it and doing extra stuff around the house for money. She will probably then realize how much you really want to do this, and how dedicated you are, and opt to pay for some of it. Good Luck!

Tell her that baseball is your life. You could have a future in baseball. Tell her that with that tournament scouts will be looking for potential draft picks in the future. Hopefully it will work. GOOD LUCK!
