my b/f got a new ipod shuffle
and when he charges it
the orange light flashes
but it won't turn on
whats wrong with it?

it needs songs and 2 hour charging, and you do know that you got to download itunes to put songs in it right???????

Well idealy once you have bought it and taken it out of the box give it a long charge around 2 hours at least. Then you know its defo got loads of power in it.
There will be 2 switches located on the shuffle one for off and another for shuffle or normal mode.
When its playing it will be steady green.
Check your little manual guide.

it has a button on the bottom of it...says off, you switch that on...it should work, i got one for my wife for xmas
