Bugger Roger it's not a yes or no Question. The owners should be banned in failing to understand that a small child is a threat to the dogs status within the family or pack. Dogs and small children are not compatible. How many more kids are going to be attacked before we realise that dogs, no matter how fluffy are pack animals, wolfs etc and will kill if they think they will succeed.

No.

People should be required to have a license for a dog. A license that can only be obtained once you have passed a simple 'how to handle a dog' test.
People are to blame for these tragic incidents that occur, not the breed.

No no no no no no......

and neither should Pit Bulls d@mnit......

it isn't the DOGS that have these probs, it the way they are BROUGHT UP!!!

There IS a difference between NATURE and NURTURE..... Some dogs by nature do tend to have a bit more aggression, but if they are RAISED the correct way, they can be taught NOT to show that aggression...... where as in REVERSE, if they are TAUGHT to be aggressive then of COURSE they look like killing machines because that's what they've become.......

all in all, NO no certain breed should be BANND or outlawed....... PEOPLE should be banned from owning certain breeds

no look closer at the owners.
oh I'm pissed off with all this its in the breed cra*p , no a dog will react how you bring it up , if u treat it with respect and teach it right from wrong then it will be fine , i tend to find that the ppl who get these kind of dogs are the ones that wanna look hard , therefore they will treat them in an unfair way and to be aggressive, no dog is born aggressive , it will be what you make it , not unlike ppl really.

No, but maybe an insurance policy required. Also penalties for the owner if a known aggressive breed attacks a person, or another pet.

no i dont think so.with the proper training of the owner to behave the rottweiler wont be a problem.but in different cases some police man use them as defense and sniff drugs and stuff like that.theyre a very useful dog.

No. Stupid owners who baby their dogs no matter how disobedient the dogs are should be banned. My dad's a vet, and he's gotten bit and slashed a lot more by chihuahuas in pink sweaters than Rottweillers.
